There are great places to visit including the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, where you can have a picnic by the Intracoastal. It’s really beautiful and quiet there. The address is 3109 E Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 – (954) 564-4521.
There’s also the Fort Lauderdale Beach, if you feel like a little sea time is in order. You can reach it very easily by driving on Sunrise Blvd. all the way East until you reach A1A. There’s plenty of parking there as well.
